Offers

An offer maps a price from your product catalog to the physical goods that ship when that price is purchased. Offers are the entry point of Order Management System: only payments that contain at least one offer-mapped price create orders.

Shippable and non-shippable offers

An offer is either shippable or not:

  • Shippable offers require a SKU and a quantity. They become order items that must be fulfilled.
  • Non-shippable offers only need a name. Use them for prices that should appear on orders without requiring shipment — for example a service fee or a digital add-on sold alongside physical goods. Non-shippable items are shown on the order but do not affect its fulfillment status.

Quantity

The offer quantity is the number of physical units to ship per unit purchased. The resulting order item quantity is the offer quantity multiplied by the quantity on the payment line item.

Example

The price "Coffee — 3-pack" is mapped to an offer with SKU COFFEE-250G and quantity 3. A customer buys 2 of that price, so the order contains one item for 6 units of COFFEE-250G.

Creating an offer

  1. In the Orders view, go to Shipping > Offers and click Create Offer.
  2. Fill in the fields:
    • Name — how the offer appears on orders and in filters.
    • Price ID — the ID of the price this offer maps to (price_…). You can find it on the price detail page in the Payments view; see Products and Prices.
    • Shippable — leave enabled for physical goods.
    • SKU and Quantity — required for shippable offers.
  3. Click Create.

Create one offer per price. From now on, every successful payment containing that price produces an order item.

tip

Map every price you sell before going live with Order Management System. Line items without a matching offer are skipped — and a payment with no matching line items creates no order at all.

Archiving an offer

To stop an offer from matching new payments, open it and choose Actions > Archive. Archived offers no longer produce order items; existing orders are not affected. You can reactivate an archived offer at any time with Actions > Reactivate.
