# Rebills report

The **Rebills** report shows your rebills — subscription renewals charged without the customer present — and what became of them each day: how many were approved and how many declined, and the money on each side. Choose it in the **Report** menu of [Explore](https://docs.odus.com/docs/guides/dashboard/insights/.md).

## How rebills are counted

A rebill counts once a day, however many invoices it pays: as approved on the day it was authorized, and as declined on any other day an attempt at it was declined. A rebill declined one day and approved on a retry the next is declined on the first day and approved on the second. A day already past does not change when a later retry succeeds.

The date range selects rebills by the day they were approved or declined, in your timezone. Over a date range of several days, a rebill counts once on every day it was approved or declined.

## Measures

| Measure | What it counts |
| ---------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Rebills** | Rebills approved or declined, each counted once a day: on the day it was approved, and on every day it was declined. |
| **Successful rebills** | Rebills approved, each on the day it was authorized. A rebill authorized and not yet captured counts, and so does one refunded, charged back or cancelled later. |
| **Declined rebills** | Rebills declined and not approved the same day, each counted once on every day it was declined. |
| **Soft declines** | Declined rebills that may still be approved on a retry: the decline was a soft decline. |
| **Won't recover** | Declined rebills that a retry with the same payment method will not approve: the decline was a hard decline, or no authorization could be attempted. |
| **Success revenue** | The amounts of successful rebills, before refunds and chargebacks. |
| **Declined revenue** | What the declined rebills asked for: each one's amount on every day it was declined. A retry may ask for a different amount than the first attempt did. |

**Soft declines** and **Won't recover** add up to **Declined rebills**.

## Breakdowns and filters

The **Breakdown** column says whether you can choose the entry in **Break down by**, and the **Filter** column whether you can filter on it.

| Name | Breakdown | Filter | What it means |
| ---------------- | --------- | ------ | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Outcome** | Yes | Yes | **Approved** on the day the rebill was authorized; **Declined** on a day an attempt at it was declined and it was not approved. A rebill declined on one day and approved on a later one is under both, each on its own day. |
| **Decline type** | Yes | Yes | How the day's last declined attempt was declined: **Soft decline**, **Hard decline** or **Not attempted**. An approval has no decline type and is under **none**, so a filter on any decline type leaves approvals out. |
| **Currency** | Yes | Yes | The currency the rebill was charged in. |
